How to Get and Use Guard Spawn Eggs in Guard Villagers

Obtaining the eggs

Guard Villagers adds spawn eggs for its Guard mob plus several vanilla-style mobs (Illusioner, Iron Golem, Snow Golem). In Creative mode, open the spawn egg tab in your inventory and search "guard" or "spawn egg" to find them. In Survival, you normally can't craft these eggs — they exist so map makers and Creative players can place mobs directly. If you're on a server, check whether the operator has limited egg usage via the mod's configuration.

Placing a Guard correctly

1. Hold the Guard Spawn Egg and right-click a solid block top surface.

2. The Guard spawns standing on that block. Give it a moment to register its surroundings.

3. Guards need a village context to patrol. Spawn them inside or right next to an existing village so they path to beds, workstations, and village boundaries.

4. If a Guard just stands still, it likely has no village to belong to — build or find one nearby, or spawn more villagers so the area counts as a settlement.

Practical uses

Use eggs to reinforce a raid-vulnerable village instantly, to seed a custom base with defenders, or to test Guard behavior in a flat world before committing to a survival build. Remember the Iron Golem and Snow Golem eggs let you mix defenders — Snow Golems are cheap ranged support, Iron Golems are tanks, and Guards fill the middle ground with swords and shields.
