Manage Guard Numbers and Loot Drops

Setting Guard Limits

The mod maintains a minimum of two guards in your village when enemies are present, but you can set a strict maximum limit on how many armed villagers can exist in one area at a time. This prevents your village from becoming overcrowded with fighters and helps manage performance.

Adjust this limit based on your village size and available villager population.

Controlling Guard Spawning

If you've enabled guard spawning instead of conversion, you can modify the cooldown time between new guard spawns. A shorter cooldown means reinforcements arrive faster; a longer cooldown gives you more time between spawn events.

Managing Loot Drops

When guards defeat enemies, they may drop items. You can toggle loot drops on or off in the configuration. Disabling drops prevents item clutter in your village, while enabling them gives you resources from defeated mobs.

Monitoring Active Guards

The mod automatically checks how many guards are currently defending your area and spawns additional ones if the count falls below your configured minimum, ensuring consistent protection without manual intervention.
