Create a Non-Rectangular Claim Around an Irregular Base

Enable Shaped Claims

Square and rectangular claims don't fit every base design. Use custom shapes to protect oddly-shaped buildings, islands, or sprawling structures.

1. Hold a golden shovel

2. Type /shapedclaims to enter shape mode

3. Right-click blocks to place corner points around your base's perimeter

4. Place as many points as needed to outline your actual building footprint

5. Complete the shape by clicking back near your first point

Organizing Complex Builds

Shaped claims work especially well for:

• Circular or domed structures
• L-shaped or T-shaped bases
• Bases with multiple disconnected buildings
• Coastlines or terrain-following designs

Your claim border glows so you can see exactly where the protection ends. If you need to adjust the shape later, you can create a new claim or use subdivisions to refine specific areas. This prevents you from protecting empty land and keeps your claim footprint efficient.
