Gray’s Monster Overhaul Resource Pack FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

Do I need to install anything else for this pack to work?
No, this is a standalone resource pack. Drop it into your resource packs folder and enable it in your world settings—it works on its own without requiring any mods or dependencies.
Why don't my cows and sheep look different?
This pack only changes hostile monsters like Zombies and Skeletons. Friendly farm animals are left unchanged intentionally, so your farms look exactly as they did before.
How do I turn on the glowing eyes feature?
Glowing eyes are enabled by default when you activate the pack. If you don't see them, check that the pack is at the top of your resource pack list and that you've reloaded your world.
Can I use this with other resource packs at the same time?
Yes, but pack order matters. Place this pack above any other packs that modify monsters to avoid conflicts, or below packs you want to override it.
Why do monsters look the same as vanilla in some caves?
The custom models may not load if the pack isn't fully activated or if your graphics settings are too low. Try moving the pack higher in your resource pack list and ensure you're not using Fast graphics mode.
Do different Zombies actually look different from each other?
Yes, this pack adds visual variations so individual monsters of the same type have different head shapes, arm details, and textures—they won't all look identical.
Will this pack slow down my game?
Resource packs have minimal performance impact since they only change visuals. If you experience lag, it's likely from other mods or settings, not this pack alone.
Does this pack work in multiplayer servers?
Yes, resource packs are client-side only, so you can use this on any server without needing server permission or installation.
What monsters does this pack actually change?
This pack focuses on classic Overworld hostile mobs like Zombies and Skeletons with custom models and textures. Check the pack description for the complete list of affected creatures.
Can I disable glowing eyes if they bother me?
This pack doesn't include a built-in toggle, but you can create a separate resource pack with lower priority that removes the glow effect, or use a mod that lets you customize resource pack features.
