How to Equip Curios Items Directly Into Their Slots

Why Direct Equipping Matters

Curios API adds dedicated slots (necklace, ring, belt, charm, and others depending on which Curios addons you have). This compat mod makes Gravestone respect those slots so items go where they belong instead of being treated as generic inventory items.

Equipping Step by Step

1. Open your inventory. Curios API adds a separate panel of slots, usually to the side of the player model.

2. Pick up a Curios item from your hotbar or inventory.

3. Drag it onto the matching Curios slot. The slot only accepts items of its type — a ring will not go into a belt slot.

4. Shift-click a Curios item in your inventory to auto-equip it into the first valid empty Curios slot.

5. To remove an item, click it in the Curios slot and place it back into your main inventory, or shift-click it out.

Interaction With Gravestone

Because of this compat mod, when Gravestone processes your inventory on death or on grave retrieval, it treats Curios slots as their own category. That means equipped trinkets are recognized as equipped, not as loose inventory items, which is what allows them to be restored to the correct slot.

Tips

• Keep Curios slots filled before dangerous fights so the compat behavior has something to restore.
• If a slot refuses an item, the item likely belongs to a different Curios slot type or a mod that is not installed.
