Survive Your First Run Without Getting Caught
Stay Mobile and Listen Carefully
The enemy hunts you constantly, so never stay in one room for long. Listen for footsteps and breathing sounds—the audio cues tell you when the threat is near. When you hear the enemy approaching, move to an adjacent room or hide in a corner away from doorways.
Prioritize Key Locations
Focus on exploring rooms systematically rather than randomly. Check under furniture, inside drawers, and behind objects for hidden items and keys. The spider cellar and attic contain valuable items but are high-risk areas—visit them only when you're confident about the enemy's location.
Use Multiple Escape Routes
Don't commit to the front door immediately. Discover the hidden pipe route early by exploring less obvious areas. This gives you a backup escape if the enemy corners you near the main exit. Keep mental notes of which doors lead where, so you can navigate quickly without hesitation.
Manage Your Fear
The custom resource pack makes everything scarier, but remember: the enemy follows predictable patrol patterns. Stay calm, move deliberately, and use the environment to your advantage. Panic leads to mistakes.
