Grannys House Map FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I start a new Grannys House Map game?
Create a new world and select the Grannys House Map from your available maps or worlds. Make sure the resource pack is enabled in your world settings to get the full scary atmosphere with custom sounds and visuals.
What do I do if the enemy catches me?
You'll see a custom death scene and the run ends. You'll need to restart the map and try again, using what you learned about the enemy's behavior and patrol patterns to survive longer next time.
Where do I find keys to unlock doors?
Keys are hidden throughout the house in various rooms—you need to explore every area carefully, including less obvious spaces like the spider cellar and attic. Check furniture, dark corners, and behind objects for hidden items.
Can the enemy open locked doors?
Yes, the enemy can open almost any door to chase you down, so locked doors only slow it down temporarily. Your best strategy is to keep moving and find alternate routes rather than relying on doors to stop the enemy.
What's the difference between normal mode and Impossible Mode?
In Impossible Mode, the enemy moves twice as fast as you, making it much harder to escape or hide. This mode is for players who have already beaten the regular map and want a serious challenge.
Are there multiple ways to escape the house?
Yes—the main exit requires unlocking five different locks on the front door, but there's also a hidden pipe route you can discover by exploring thoroughly. Finding alternate escape paths can be faster than collecting all five keys.
Do I need the resource pack to play?
The resource pack isn't required to play, but it's strongly recommended because it adds custom sounds and visuals that make the map much scarier and more immersive. The map works without it, but you'll miss the full experience.
Can I play this map with friends?
Yes, the map supports multiplayer mode so you and your friends can try to survive and escape together. Working as a team can help you cover more ground and watch each other's backs against the enemy.
Why does the spider cellar keep killing me?
The spider cellar is a dangerous area with hazards and tight spaces where the enemy can corner you easily. Move carefully through it, watch for openings to escape, and consider if there's a safer route around it before committing to exploration there.
What should I do on my first run?
Focus on learning the map layout and the enemy's behavior rather than rushing to collect keys—explore cautiously, note where items are hidden, and find safe hiding spots. Your first run is about gathering information so you can plan a better escape route on your next attempt.
