Troubleshoot Missing or Incorrect Gradient Effects

Confirm Fancy Clouds Are Enabled

If you're not seeing the gradient fade effect, the most common cause is that clouds are set to Fast instead of Fancy.

1. Pause the game and open Options → Video Settings

2. Locate Clouds and verify it says Fancy

3. If it's set to Fast, change it and restart the world

Check for Conflicting Mods

Gradient Clouds relies on vanilla core shaders and cannot work alongside Sodium or similar rendering mods. If you have Sodium installed:

1. Remove Sodium from your mods folder

2. Restart Minecraft

3. Test the clouds again

Other shader packs or resource packs that modify cloud rendering may also conflict.

Verify Resource Pack Installation

Make sure the Gradient Clouds pack is actually loaded:

1. Go to Options → Resource Packs

2. Check that Gradient Clouds appears in the active list (right side)

3. If it's in the inactive list, click it to move it to active

4. Reload your world
