Gothiclilys Doors Resource Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Do I need to do anything after installing the resource pack or does it just work?
The resource pack applies automatically once activated in your resource pack menu—no configuration needed. Simply load a world and all doors will display with the new textures right away.
Will these doors work with doors from other mods?
Gothiclily's Doors only retextures vanilla Minecraft doors, so modded doors will keep their original appearance. You can still use them together in the same build, though they won't have the updated look.
Can I use this resource pack on a multiplayer server?
Yes, resource packs are client-side only, so you can use Gothiclily's Doors on any server without the server needing to install it. Other players will see the default doors unless they also have the pack installed.
Do the doors still function the same way or did the mechanics change?
The doors work exactly like vanilla doors—this pack only changes how they look, not how they behave. Opening, closing, and redstone interaction all remain unchanged.
Which wood types get new door designs?
All wooden door variants in the game receive updated textures, including oak, spruce, birch, jungle, acacia, dark oak, mangrove, cherry, and bamboo doors.
Are iron doors included in this resource pack?
Yes, iron doors get a visual upgrade too, giving them a cleaner appearance that still fits the vanilla aesthetic.
Will this pack cause lag or performance issues?
Resource packs have minimal performance impact since they only change textures, not game mechanics. You should see no noticeable lag from using Gothiclily's Doors.
Can I combine this with other resource packs?
Yes, you can stack multiple resource packs in your resource pack menu. If two packs modify the same doors, whichever is loaded higher in the list will take priority.
Do the new door designs work well with modern building blocks like deepslate and copper?
The pack uses the default color palette, so the doors blend naturally with most blocks. You may want to test door placement with your specific building materials to ensure the aesthetic matches your vision.
What should I do if a door texture looks wrong or doesn't match my build?
Try reloading your resource packs through the menu or restarting your game. If the issue persists, verify the resource pack is fully activated and placed above any conflicting packs in your load order.
