Understand Client vs. Server Translation

Google Chat Mod works in two modes:

• Client-side: Only you see translated messages; others see originals
• Server-side: The server translates for all players

Confirm with your server admin which mode is active, as this affects how translation appears to teammates.

Configure for Your Server's Language Setup

If your server has players speaking multiple languages, set your mod to translate to the language you understand best. If the server uses server-side translation, your personal config may be overridden by server settings.

Communicate Clearly

Remember that translation is automatic but not always perfect. For critical information (coordinates, important instructions), consider typing slowly or using simpler sentences to improve translation accuracy.

Test with Teammates

Send a few messages and ask other players to confirm they received them correctly. This helps identify any translation quirks specific to your server setup.
