Use Old Combat Animations in Multiplayer Servers

Why Old Animations Matter

Classic 1.7 animations are more responsive and give you better visual feedback during combat. They also help you read your opponent's actions faster on multiplayer servers.

Enable Old Animations

1. Open the mod settings menu from your pause screen.

2. Find the animation options section.

3. Enable classic 1.7 animations for sword swings, eating, and item holds.

4. Confirm the changes—they apply immediately.

What Changes

  • Sword swings return to the old arc and speed, making attacks feel snappier.
  • Third-person item holds show weapons positioned like they were in 1.7.
  • Eating animations play out in the classic style.
  • Blockhitting visuals display the old shield-raising effect when you block.

Server Compatibility

These animations are client-side only, meaning they work on any server—even vanilla ones. Other players see standard animations, but you experience the classic feel. This gives you a personal advantage in reading combat timing without breaking server rules.
