Disable Sweep Attacks or Require Sweeping Edge Enchantment
Understanding Sweep Attacks
Sweep attacks are the wide-arc damage effect that hits multiple enemies when you attack with a sword. In classic combat, these didn't exist—only direct hits counted. The mod lets you control this behavior.
Configure Sweep Attack Rules
1. Open the mod settings menu.
2. Locate the sweep attack option.
3. Choose your preferred rule:
- Disable completely: Sweep attacks never trigger, even with Sweeping Edge.
- Require Sweeping Edge: Sweep attacks only work if your sword has the Sweeping Edge enchantment.
- Allow always: Sweep attacks function normally (modern behavior).
Why This Matters
Disabling sweeps forces you to aim precisely and rewards accurate clicking. Requiring Sweeping Edge makes the enchantment valuable and creates a meaningful progression goal. This change significantly impacts group PvP—you can no longer accidentally hit teammates with wide swings.
Testing Your Setting
After changing the setting, test it in singleplayer by attacking multiple mobs at once. You'll immediately see whether sweeps trigger based on your configuration.
