Adjust Combat Settings to Your Playstyle

Access the Settings Menu

The mod includes a built-in in-game settings menu where you can customize every combat mechanic without editing config files.

1. Open your game menu (pause screen in singleplayer or ESC in multiplayer).

2. Look for the GoodMC settings option—this is usually a dedicated button or found under mod options.

3. Enter the settings menu to see all available toggles and sliders.

Common Settings to Adjust

• Attack cooldown: Control how fast you can swing (or disable it entirely for instant clicks).
• Sword blocking damage reduction: Adjust how much damage blocking actually prevents.
• Animation style: Choose between old 1.7 visuals or other classic versions.
• Sweep attack behavior: Toggle whether sweep attacks are allowed or require Sweeping Edge enchantment.
• Knockback values: Fine-tune how far blockhits push enemies.

Saving Your Changes

Settings are saved automatically when you apply them. You can experiment freely—changes take effect immediately without restarting your world.
