Monitor Server Performance with Status HUD
Locate the Status Bar
The Goobaa Client status bar appears in your top-left corner by default, displaying four key metrics: FPS (your frame rate), Ping (connection latency to the server), Server TPS (ticks per second on the server), and Network Traffic (data sent/received). These indicators help you diagnose lag and connection issues during gameplay.
Interpret the Readings
- Low FPS: Your computer is struggling; reduce render distance or disable fancy graphics
- High Ping: Your connection is slow; server fights may feel delayed
- Low TPS: The server is overloaded; expect rubber-banding and desync
- Network Traffic spikes: Check for background downloads or other players hogging bandwidth
Customize Display Position
Open Client Modules and drag the status bar to a position that doesn't obstruct your view. You can reposition it above your hotbar, to the side, or anywhere on screen. Adjust text size and colors for better visibility in bright or dark environments.
Use these metrics to decide when to engage in PvP—high server TPS and low ping mean fair fights, while poor readings suggest waiting for better conditions.
