Ancient debris, nether gold ore, and other Nether ores glow brightly in the dark red landscape, making them stand out against netherrack and blackstone.

Finding Ancient Debris

1. Travel to Y-levels 8–22 where ancient debris spawns most frequently.

2. Look for the distinctive glow as you mine through netherrack; it appears brighter than surrounding blocks.

3. Mine carefully with a diamond or netherite pickaxe—ancient debris requires these tools and drops raw netherite.

4. Check multiple tunnels since ancient debris is rare; the glow helps you spot it faster than strip mining blind.

Other Nether Resources

Gilded blackstone and nether gold ore also emit light, helping you:

• Locate gold quickly for crafting and bartering with piglins
• Spot gilded blackstone when exploring bastions or other structures
• Navigate dark Nether caverns without placing excessive torches
