How to Stop the Accessibility Onboarding Screen from Appearing Every Launch

Why It Keeps Showing Up

The onboarding screen appears whenever the global narration setting in your .minecraft folder is enabled. Because the mod syncs that global value whenever you turn narration on in any instance, a single instance with narration enabled can cause the prompt to reappear on every new instance you create.

Disabling It Globally

1. Open the instance where you want narration off.

2. Go to Options → Accessibility Settings.

3. Toggle the narrator to off.

4. Exit the game so the options file is written to disk.

The mod checks this global value at startup. With narration disabled globally, the onboarding screen is skipped and you launch straight into the game.

Things to Keep in Mind

  • The setting is global, not per-instance. Turning narration off in one instance turns it off for the startup check everywhere.
  • If you later enable narration in any instance, the global value flips back on and the onboarding screen returns on the next fresh launch.
  • If the screen still appears after disabling, make sure the game closed cleanly so the options file was saved, then relaunch.
