How to Enable the Narrator on First Launch with Global Narration Toggle

What Happens on a Fresh Instance

When you launch a brand-new Minecraft instance with this mod installed, the game checks the global narration setting stored in your .minecraft folder before the main menu appears. If narration is currently disabled in that global setting, the accessibility onboarding screen is skipped entirely and you go straight to the title screen. If narration is enabled globally, the onboarding prompt is shown so you can confirm or adjust it.

Turning It On

1. Start the game and watch for the accessibility onboarding screen at launch.

2. If it appears, select the option to enable the narrator. This writes the change to the global options file automatically.

3. If the screen does not appear because narration was previously off, open Options → Accessibility Settings from the title screen and toggle the narrator on there instead.

4. Once enabled in any instance, the mod updates the global setting, so future fresh instances will show the onboarding screen again.

Verifying It Worked

Return to the title screen and listen for narration reading menu items as you navigate. If you hear it, the global setting has been saved. You only need to do this once — after that, the mod remembers your choice across instances.
