How to Stop Giants From Burning in Daylight
Why Giants Burn
By default, giant zombies behave like regular zombies and catch fire when the sun comes up, which often kills them before you can fight or farm them. Giant Spawn Mod gives you a config toggle to change this.
Disable Sunlight Burning
Open your Minecraft directory and go to the config folder. Open giantspawn-common.toml in a text editor. Find the option shouldBurnGiantsInDaylight, which is set to true by default. Change it to false.
Save the file and restart the game or server. From now on, giants will remain alive and active during the day, making them persistent threats or useful mobs depending on your setup.
Things to Keep in Mind
- This setting affects all giants, not just ones near you, so daytime exploration becomes more dangerous.
- If you play on a server, the server's config file is the one that matters.
- Combine this with a lower spawn chance if you want daytime giants to be a rare surprise rather than a constant problem.
- If you later want them to burn again, simply set the value back to
trueand restart.
