Building an Efficient Crying Obsidian Farm

Layout and Design

Create a dedicated farming area in the Nether with multiple portal frames arranged in a line or grid. Space them far enough apart to avoid interference, but close enough to manage efficiently.

Use a central platform where you can safely stand while engaging ghasts. Ensure good visibility and clear sightlines to each portal.

Automation Considerations

While the mod doesn't provide automatic ghast spawning or killing, you can optimize the process by:

• Positioning portals in naturally high-ghast-spawn areas
• Creating elevated platforms to funnel ghasts toward portals
• Using water channels or other terrain features to guide movement

Maintenance and Efficiency

Keep a supply of obsidian nearby for quick portal rebuilding. Store your crying obsidian in chests at your farm site. Between ghast kills, quickly reconstruct the destroyed portal to minimize downtime.

Consider the obsidian cost versus your crying obsidian output. If obsidian is scarce, this method may not be worth the investment compared to alternatives.
