How to Make Specific Items Ignore the Mod Entirely
Sometimes you want most items to combine for performance, but a few specific items should behave exactly like vanilla. Maybe you have a redstone contraption that depends on vanilla merge timing, or a modded item that breaks when it merges. Get It Together Drops provides a tag for this.
Using the ignored Tag
The mod adds an item tag called getittogetherdrops:ignored. Any item added to this tag will completely ignore the mod's combining logic and use vanilla behavior instead. This means it will only merge under the same conditions as an unmodded game.
To add an item, edit the tag file in your datapack or mod configuration. Add the item ID, such as minecraft:ender_pearl or any modded item ID. You can add multiple entries.
When to Use ignored vs do_not_combine
These two tags do different
things. The do_not_combine tag prevents an item from ever merging with anything. The ignored tag lets the item use vanilla merging rules, which usually means it merges only when very close. Use ignored when you want the item to still be able to merge, but only in the tight vanilla radius. Use do_not_combine when you never want it to merge at all. Choosing the right tag depends on whether you want the item to eventually stack or stay permanently separate.
