How to Use Geophilic Features for Building and Resource Gathering

Free Materials From the Landscape

Geophilic's additions double as a resource source. Fallen logs give you ready wood without chopping a standing tree, and stumps provide a small bonus of logs. Boulders offer stone and cobble you can mine without digging underground. Moss patches are useful for landscaping and can be harvested with any tool or by hand.

Building With a Natural Look

Because the pack keeps everything vanilla, all these features use existing blocks, so anything you gather fits seamlessly into normal builds. Use fallen logs as rustic pathways, fence substitutes, or decorative debris around a cabin. Stumps make good stools, table bases, or garden markers. Boulders work as natural landscaping accents, retaining walls, or the base of a rock garden. Moss is ideal for path edging, roof detailing, or softening stone structures.

Gathering Efficiently

Carry an axe, a pickaxe, and a shovel so you can harvest logs, stone, and moss in one trip. Explore forest edges and clearings where multiple feature types cluster together. Since the pack only affects newly generated chunks, plan gathering runs toward unexplored territory rather than looping around your base. Note coordinates of dense clusters so you can return for larger building projects without re-searching.
