How to Tell If Geophilic Is Actually Working in Your World

Quick Verification Steps

Because Geophilic makes subtle changes, it can be hard to tell if it loaded. First run /datapack list and check that the pack name appears under enabled packs. If it is missing, it is not installed in the correct datapacks folder for that world.

Look in New Chunks

Even a correctly loaded pack will not change terrain you already generated. Walk or fly several hundred blocks in a direction you have never visited, then look for the telltale features: fallen logs, short stumps, small boulder clusters, and mossy ground patches. If you see these in fresh terrain, the pack is active.

Common Reasons It Seems Broken

If you installed the pack after exploring a large area, everything nearby will look vanilla simply because those chunks are already saved. Running /reload refreshes data but does not regenerate old terrain. Another frequent issue is placing the zip in the wrong folder, such as the global datapacks directory instead of the one inside your specific world save. Confirm the file sits at saves/<your world>/datapacks/. Once you travel into genuinely new chunks, the additions should appear naturally without any commands needed.
