Creating a Mangrove Swamp Garden
Understanding Mangroves
Mangrove trees are now a prominent feature in swamp biomes added by Funky Flora. These trees have distinctive root systems and grow naturally in swamp terrain. They provide wood and create unique aesthetic opportunities for builds.
Building Your Garden
Locate a swamp biome and identify areas with mangrove trees. You can:
- Harvest mangrove wood for building materials with a unique appearance
- Replant mangroves by collecting saplings and planting them in swamp-like conditions (mud, water nearby)
- Create water features around mangroves to enhance their natural look
- Layer vegetation by adding new swamp flowers and fungi around the base
Design Tips
Mangroves work best in humid, water-rich environments. Combine them with lily pads, new swamp flowers, and water channels to create an immersive wetland garden. The root systems create natural pathways and visual interest without requiring extensive terraforming.
