Funky Flora Data Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Do I need to start a new world to see Funky Flora plants?
Yes, Funky Flora generates new vegetation during world creation, so you'll need to explore newly generated chunks to find mangroves, jungle mushrooms, and mountain grasses. Existing chunks from before installing the pack won't have these features.
Where do I find mangroves?
Mangroves generate naturally in swamp biomes throughout your world. You can identify them by their distinctive root structure and appearance compared to vanilla swamp trees.
Can I use Funky Flora with other mods?
Funky Flora is a data pack, so it's compatible with most mods, but conflicts may occur with other mods that heavily modify world generation or vegetation. Test it with your mod setup to be sure.
How do I harvest the new flowers without breaking them?
Use shears or your hand to collect new flowers—they drop like vanilla flowers do. Some may have different drop rates or uses than standard Minecraft flowers.
Will Funky Flora slow down my game?
Funky Flora adds more vegetation, which can impact performance on lower-end systems, especially in heavily vegetated biomes like jungles and swamps. Reduce render distance or leaf particle effects if you experience lag.
Do the new plants have any crafting recipes?
Most new flowers and plants are decorative and work like vanilla flowers for dyes and decoration. Check your crafting menu or the mod's guide for specific uses of unique plants.
Can I disable certain biome changes?
Since Funky Flora is a data pack, you can remove it from your world folder to disable all changes, but there's no built-in option to selectively disable individual biome modifications.
Why aren't mountains covered in grass?
Mountain grass generation only appears in newly generated chunks after installing Funky Flora. If your mountains were generated before the pack was added, they won't have the new grass varieties.
Do jungle mushrooms spawn naturally or only in specific conditions?
Jungle mushrooms generate as part of jungle biome terrain when chunks are created with Funky Flora installed, appearing alongside other jungle vegetation.
Is Funky Flora compatible with my current save?
Yes, you can add Funky Flora to an existing world, but new features will only generate in chunks you haven't explored yet. Previously generated areas will remain unchanged.
