Set Up Cooling Delivery Units (CDUs) to Disable the Shield

Understanding CDU Requirements

The Nexus core generates an invulnerable protection shield. To break it, you must place and activate at least four Cooling Delivery Units (CDUs) within 20 blocks of the core simultaneously. All four must remain active—if any are destroyed or deactivated, the shield regenerates.

Placement Strategy

1. Craft or locate four CDUs in your inventory

2. Position them around the core within the 20-block radius, spacing them to cover different angles

3. Activate each CDU according to its interaction mechanics

4. Verify all four are active before attempting to damage the core

5. Maintain their operation throughout the fight—losing even one will restore the shield

Protecting Your CDUs

Infected mobs will target your cooling units. Build defensive structures around them or position them where you can easily defend them. Consider placing them on elevated platforms or behind barriers to reduce mob access.
