Reduce Nexus Power by Defeating Infected Mobs

Draining Power Through Combat

Each Fungal Nexus tracks an individual Power value that determines its current infection phase. Defeating infected mobs inside the Nexus territory drains this power and pushes the core back toward earlier phases.

Combat Strategy

1. Enter the corrupted territory surrounding the core

2. Hunt and eliminate infected mobs with glowing red eyes

3. Track your progress—each defeated mob reduces the core's power

4. Maintain steady pressure to suspend the core's attack systems temporarily

5. Repeat regularly to prevent the core from advancing to higher phases

Phase Awareness

As you drain power, the Nexus will retreat through its phases: Phase IV (Siege) → Phase III (Expand) → Phase II (Hunt) → Phase I (Capture). Lower phases mean slower terrain spread and fewer spawned mobs, giving you more time to prepare your CDU network and final assault on the core itself.
