Setting Player Claim Limits with FTB Ranks or LuckPerms

Why Limit Claims

FTB XMod Compat lets FTB Chunks read permission data from FTB Ranks or LuckPerms so you can give different player groups different claim allowances. This is common on servers where donors or staff get larger claim areas than regular players.

Configuring Limits

1. Ensure FTB Chunks and either FTB Ranks or LuckPerms are installed. The compat mod bridges them automatically.

2. Decide which permission system you will use as the source of truth for limits.

3. In that permission system, create or edit the group you want to control (for example, a default group and a staff group).

4. Assign the claim-related permission nodes that FTB Chunks exposes to each group, granting larger limits to higher tiers.

5. Have a test player in each group check their claim allowance in the FTB Chunks interface to confirm the values differ as intended.

Tips

• Apply changes and have players relog if limits do not refresh immediately.
• Keep your permission groups simple; overlapping nodes can make it unclear which limit wins.
• This only affects claim sizes and counts, not the core claiming mechanics.
