How to Activate Ultimine and Mine Multiple Blocks at Once

The Default Activation Key

FTB Ultimine works by holding down a keybind while you break a block. By default this is the grave/accent key (the backtick key, usually above Tab). Check your controls menu under the FTB Ultimine category if it does not respond, since another mod may have claimed that key.

Step by Step

1. Hold the Ultimine key down. You do not tap it — keep it held for the whole action.

2. While holding it, break a block with your pickaxe as normal.

3. Instead of one block, every connected block of the same ore or stone type in range breaks together, and the drops come to you.

4. Release the key to return to normal single-block mining.

Things That Stop It Working

• Your tool must be able to mine the block. A wooden pickaxe will not chain obsidian.
• Hunger or durability still apply per block, so a large vein can eat your pickaxe fast.
• If nothing chains, you may be in a dimension or config where Ultimine is disabled, or your keybind conflicts.

Start on a small vein to confirm the key works before chaining a full ore cluster.
