How to Store and Organize FTB Materials Items

Block Storage

FTB Materials adds storage blocks for many materials, including Block of Aluminum, Block of Antimony, Block of Apatite, Block of Bauxite, Block of Brass, Block of Bronze, Block of Charcoal, Block of Chromium, and Block of Cinnabar. These blocks are crafted from nine ingots or gems and can be uncrafted back into nine ingots. They are useful for compact storage and for decorating builds.

Organizing Your Base

With dozens of materials and multiple forms per material, organization is critical. Use labeled chests, drawers, or storage buses to keep ingots, dusts, plates, rods, gears, and wires separate. A common approach is to dedicate one storage area per material type, with sub-sections for each form. For example, an Aluminum section might have chests for Ore, Dirty Dust, Dust, Ingot, Nugget, Plate, Rod, Gear, and Wire.

Automation Tips

If you have logistics mods installed, set up item filters to route each material to its correct chest. Use color coding or item frames to label containers. For materials you use frequently, such as Aluminum, Copper, and Bronze, keep them close to your crafting area. Rarer materials like Chromium or Cinnabar can be stored further away. Regularly craft Nuggets into Ingots and Ingots into Blocks to save space. Nuggets are especially useful for precise crafting recipes and can be stored in large quantities without taking up much room.
