How do I start using this mod?
Install the mod into your mods folder, then load a world with amethyst geodes or other crystal blocks. Find a fully grown crystal cluster and right-click it with your hand or pickaxe to harvest shards without destroying the budding block.
What's the difference between harvesting with my hand vs a pickaxe?
Right-clicking with an empty hand gives you two shards, while using a pickaxe drops four or more shards. If your pickaxe has the Fortune enchantment, you'll get even more shards per harvest.
Does the budding block get destroyed when I harvest?
No, the budding block stays in place and resets to its first growth stage, so it can grow new crystals again. This is the main feature that prevents accidental destruction of your crystal farms.
Can I use this mod with crystals from other mods?
Yes, the mod has built-in compatibility with Applied Energistics 2 crystals, geOre crystals, and vanilla amethyst. You can also add support for other mod crystals using data packs.
How do I add custom crystal types to the mod?
Create a data pack that defines your custom crystal block as a harvestable crystal type, then place it in your world's datapacks folder. The mod will recognize and allow you to harvest it using the same right-click mechanic.
