How to Claim Chunks in FTB Chunks and Protect Your Base

Opening the Claiming Interface

Press the map keybind (default is usually M) to open the large FTB Chunks world map. You'll see your explored terrain rendered on a grid of chunks. If this is your first time, the map may look mostly black until you walk around and reveal it.

Claiming Land

1. In the map screen, switch to Claim Mode using the mode buttons along the edge of the map (the exact icon looks like a chunk grid).

2. Left-click a chunk to claim it. It will be highlighted in your claim color.

3. Drag across multiple chunks to claim a whole area at once.

4. Right-click a claimed chunk to unclaim it if you made a mistake.

Claims are tied to your player team. By default, only you (and your allies) can break or place blocks inside them. This is what stops other players from griefing your builds.

Managing Your Claims

Open the Claim Manager tab to see a list of all your claimed chunks, how many you have left based on your server's limit, and options to unclaim everything at once. If you're on a server, the admin may cap how many chunks each player can hold, so claim only what you actually need to protect.
