How to Add Allies and Share Map Data in FTB Chunks
Why Add Allies
Allies are other players you trust. Adding someone as an ally lets them interact with your claimed chunks — breaking blocks, using machines, opening chests — without you having to unclaim anything. It's the standard way to co-op a base in FTB Chunks.
Adding an Ally
1. Open the FTB Chunks map or its settings menu.
2. Find the Allies section (sometimes labeled as a team or friend list).
3. Add the player by their username. They'll appear in your ally list.
4. Allies can be removed at any time from the same menu.
Allies are usually mutual in effect for permissions, but check your server's rules — some servers handle teams differently.
Sharing Explored Map Data
FTB Chunks can share the parts of the map you've explored with your allies. When this is enabled, allies see terrain you've uncovered, and you see theirs, which makes navigating together much easier. Look for a Share Map or Share Explored Data toggle in the ally or team settings and turn it on.
If an ally can't see your claims or map, confirm they're actually on your ally list and that map sharing is enabled on both sides. On multiplayer servers, the admin may restrict these features.
