Enable Reflective Water and Adjust Water Clarity
Accessing Water Settings
Reflective water is one of FS Shaders' signature features, but you may want to fine-tune how much the water surface mirrors your surroundings. Open your shader options menu—this is typically accessed through your video settings or by pressing a hotkey (often a function key) while in-game.
Adjusting Reflection Intensity
Look for water-related settings in the shader menu. You'll find sliders or toggles for:
- Water Reflection Strength: Controls how clearly the water mirrors the sky, clouds, and terrain. Lower values create a more subtle effect; higher values make reflections vivid and mirror-like.
- Water Transparency: Adjust how far you can see into the water. Increasing this helps you spot underwater caves and resources.
- Wave Height: If available, this controls how pronounced the water surface animation appears.
Testing Your Changes
Stand near a large body of water—an ocean or lake works best. Look at how the sky and nearby blocks reflect on the surface. If reflections feel too strong and unrealistic, reduce the reflection strength. If water looks too murky, increase transparency. Save your settings and they'll persist across sessions.
