Configure Wet-Weather Effects During Rain
Understanding Wet-Weather Visuals
When it rains, FS Shaders applies glossy, reflective surfaces to blocks and ground, simulating wet terrain. This creates immersive rainstorm visuals but can be customized to your preference.
Adjusting Rain Effects
Open your shader settings menu and locate weather or rain-related options:
- Wetness Intensity: Controls how shiny and reflective wet blocks appear. Higher values make surfaces look soaked and slick; lower values create subtle dampness.
- Puddle Reflections: Some settings control whether water pools form visible reflections on flat surfaces.
- Rain Particle Intensity: Adjust how many rain particles appear on-screen during storms.
Testing in Rainstorms
Stand on grass, stone, or dirt and observe how the surface changes. Look at how light bounces off wet blocks. If the effect feels too exaggerated—making everything look plastic-like—reduce wetness intensity. If you want more dramatic rain effects, increase it. Remember these settings only apply during active rain; clear weather reverts to normal appearance.
