How to Use the Frost Wand and Frozen Rod in Combat

Frost Wand Basics

The Frost Wand is a magic weapon that fires frost projectiles, applying freezing effects to enemies. It is effective at range and pairs well with the mod's temperature theme — hitting a mob builds its freezing meter, slowing it and eventually damaging it.

Frozen Rod

Frozen Rods are crafting materials and weapon components tied to Frostiful's ice magic. They are used to craft frost-themed gear and can be combined with other items to make stronger cold weapons. Collect them from cold-biome mobs and structures.

Combat Strategy

1. Open fights at range with the Frost Wand to build freezing on targets before they reach you.

2. Switch to a melee weapon (or the Frozen Rod-based weapon) once the enemy is slowed.

3. Against groups, focus the fastest mob first — freezing slows them, letting you kite.

4. The Glacial Arrow is a ranged option that applies cold effects; use it with a bow for long-range freezing.

5. Keep a heat source nearby — your own freezing meter still fills in cold biomes even while fighting.
