Configure Step Up to Climb Blocks Without Jumping

What Step Up Does

Step Up removes the need to jump repeatedly when walking up blocks. Instead of hitting jump for every single-block elevation change, you simply walk forward and climb smoothly. This is far more fluid than vanilla autojump.

How to Enable and Configure

1. Open your mod configuration file.

2. Locate the Step Up option and set it to true.

3. If customizable, you may see options to adjust:

  • Maximum step height (how many blocks you can climb without jumping)
  • Whether it applies to sneaking

4. Save and restart your game.

Using Step Up

Simply walk toward a block or staircase:

  • Your character automatically climbs up to the configured height
  • No jump key needed for normal terrain navigation
  • Works on stairs, slabs, and single-block elevations
  • Combines with Coyote Time for even smoother platforming

When Step Up Helps Most

  • Navigating uneven terrain
  • Climbing mountains or hills
  • Moving through your base without constant jumping
  • Reducing fatigue from repetitive jumping

Step Up is gentler on your hands and makes exploration feel more natural compared to vanilla Minecraft's clunky autojump system.
