Protect Pets from Other Players' Attacks
Cross-Player Protection
The Friendly Fire Mod primarily protects your pets from *your own* attacks. Protection against other players depends on your server's configuration and whether the mod is installed server-side.
Server-Side Installation
For full protection in multiplayer:
- The mod must be installed on the server, not just your client
- Server administrators can configure whether pets are protected from all players or only their owner
- Check with your server admin about the protection rules in place
What Gets Protected
If the server has the mod enabled:
- Your tamed pets are protected from your own attacks
- Baby animals may have universal protection (depending on config)
- Pets owned by different players can still hurt each other unless configured otherwise
Limitations
If the mod is only on your client, other players can still damage your pets. For reliable multiplayer protection, ensure your server has the mod installed and configured appropriately. Ask your server administrator to enable pet protection if it isn't already active.
