How to Install and Configure Freshly Modded Resource Pack for Modded Mobs

Freshly Modded Resource Pack works as an add-on layer on top of Fresh Animations, so getting the load order right is the whole game. If you just drop it in like any other pack, modded mobs will often stay stiff while vanilla mobs animate fine.

Setting the Load Order

Open your resource pack selection screen and make sure Fresh Animations sits above Freshly Modded in the list. The pack relies on Fresh Animations' core animation files, so it must load after them to override only the modded entity models. If you use other animation packs, keep them grouped so nothing overwrites the Freshly Modded files.

Checking That It Applied

Load a world that spawns modded creatures and watch their idle, walk, and attack motions. You should see smoother head tracking, limb movement, and blinking-style details rather than the default rigid poses. If a specific mod's mob still looks static, that entity likely isn't covered yet, or another pack is overriding it.

Troubleshooting

  • Move Freshly Modded lower in the list if animations look broken or half-applied.
  • Remove conflicting entity-texture packs temporarily to isolate the problem.
  • Remember this is a resource pack, not a mod, so it needs no loader and works on both client setups.
