How to Adjust Freecam Speed, Flight Style, and Brightness

Tuning Movement Feel

If the camera moves too quickly to line up a shot, or too slowly to cross a large build, open the mod's configuration screen. There you will find separate horizontal and vertical speed settings. Lower them for precise, slow inspection of small details, or raise them to sweep across a big project quickly. The two axes are independent, so you can keep vertical movement gentle while allowing fast horizontal travel.

The flight style option changes how the camera handles. The default style and the creative-style option behave differently, so try both and keep whichever matches how you like to fly. This setting only affects the freecam camera, not your actual player.

Improving Visibility

Two options help you see clearly while detached. Full brightness can be toggled so dark caves, night scenes, or shadowed interiors are lit up for inspection without placing torches. You can also change the camera perspective while in freecam.

A separate setting controls whether your player model is shown while freecam is active. Hiding it keeps the view clean; showing it helps you confirm where your body actually is. Adjust these in the config to match your preference, then toggle freecam and check the result.
