Troubleshooting Missing or Broken Subgroups

Subgroups Not Appearing

If you don't see subgroup tabs in a mod's creative inventory:

1. Verify the mod uses Fractal — Not all mods use this system. Check the mod's documentation

2. Confirm Fractal is installed — Ensure the mod listed Fractal as a dependency and you've downloaded it

3. Check mod load order — Fractal should load before any mods that depend on it

4. Restart your game — Changes to mod dependencies require a full restart

Subgroups Appear But Don't Work

• Clicking tabs does nothing — Try scrolling the subgroup list if there are many categories
• Items missing from subgroups — This is usually intentional; the mod developer controls which items appear where
• Inventory looks cluttered — Some mods may not fully implement Fractal's features; this is a mod design choice, not a Fractal issue

General Troubleshooting

Fractal is a lightweight library with minimal failure points. If subgroups aren't working:

• Ensure you're using compatible mod versions
• Check that no conflicting mods are installed
