How to Keep Forge Endertech and Endertech Mods Compatible After Updates

Why Updates Break Things

Forge Endertech is a library, so content mods are built against a specific range of library versions. When you update one side but not the other, you can get startup crashes, missing features, or silent failures. Keeping them in sync avoids most problems.

A Safe Update Routine

1. Before updating anything, note which Endertech content mods you currently run.

2. Update Forge Endertech and all its dependent content mods together, not one at a time.

3. Make sure every updated file targets the same Minecraft version and mod loader.

4. Delete old jar files rather than leaving them beside new ones, so no stale version loads.

5. Launch the game and check the mod list for errors before loading a world.

6. Test in a throwaway world first if you are updating mid-playthrough.

If Something Breaks

If a content mod stops working after an update, the library and that mod are likely out of step. Revert both to their previous matching versions, or bring both up to the newest matching pair. Avoid mixing a new library with an old content mod or the reverse. Treat the library and its content mods as a single unit whenever you change versions.
