Flux Script Architect Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I open the Flux Script Architect workspace?
Press the configured keybind (default varies by setup) or use the command `/fsarchitect` to open the in-game studio. The workspace will load with tabs for the visual editor, text editor, and your script files.
Can I edit recipes without knowing how to code?
Yes—the visual recipe editor lets you select ingredients, set outputs, and configure cooking times or special conditions using forms and dropdowns. You don't need to write KubeJS syntax directly.
Do my changes take effect immediately or do I need to restart?
Changes save to your script files instantly, but most modifications (recipes, tags, loot tables) require a game reload or server restart to apply in-game. Some properties may update without a full restart depending on your setup.
What's the difference between the visual editor and the text editor?
The visual editor uses forms and dropdowns to build recipes, tags, and loot tables without code. The text editor lets you write or edit raw KubeJS scripts directly with autocomplete and error highlighting.
Can I create custom items and blocks without a startup file?
Yes—the mod includes a custom item and block creation tool that generates the necessary scripts automatically, so you don't have to manually write startup code.
Why aren't my tag changes showing up in-game?
Ensure you saved your changes (they should auto-save, but check the file was written), then reload the world or server. If tags still don't appear, verify you selected the correct tag category (item, block, or fluid) and the right namespace.
Does this mod work on multiplayer servers?
The mod is primarily a client-side editing tool; changes you make locally save to your script folder. For server play, you'll need to upload edited scripts to the server's script directory and restart it for changes to take effect.
Can I use the visual loot table builder for custom mobs?
Yes—the loot table tool works for any block or mob. You can set drop rates, add conditions (like specific tools or player kills), and configure multiple loot entries in the form interface.
What happens if I make a syntax error in the text editor?
The editor highlights errors in real-time and shows warnings before you save. If an error slips through, the script won't load on reload—check the game log for details and fix it in the editor.
Is there a performance impact from using this mod?
The workspace itself has minimal impact when closed. The mod's real performance depends on how many scripts and recipes you create—complex loot tables or many custom items may affect load times, but the editor itself doesn't cause lag.
