Switch Between Performance Profiles Quickly

Understanding the Presets

The mod includes three ready-made profiles tuned for different priorities:

• Quality: Prioritizes visual range and distant rendering
• Balanced: Splits the difference between visibility and performance
• Performance: Aggressively reduces view distance to maintain frame rate

Applying a Preset

In-game method:

1. Press F8 to open settings

2. Select your desired preset from the available options

3. Click Done

Chat method:

Type /drd preset <preset> and replace <preset> with quality, balanced, or performance

When to Switch

Use Quality when exploring or building in areas with stable performance. Switch to Balanced for general survival gameplay. Activate Performance when entering heavily modded areas, large farms, or during multiplayer sessions with many players. You can swap presets mid-session without restarting the game.
