Monitor Your Frame Rate and View Distance in Real Time

Enabling the HUD Overlay

The mod includes an on-screen display that shows your current frame rate and active render distance. This helps you understand how the mod is responding to performance changes.

Turning the HUD On

1. Press F8 to open the settings card

2. Look for the Show HUD or Display Overlay toggle

3. Enable it

4. Click Done

Alternatively, use: /drd showHud to toggle on or off

Reading the Display

The HUD typically shows:

• Your current FPS (frames per second)
• Your active render distance in chunks
• Whether the mod is currently adjusting or stable

Automatic Hiding

The overlay automatically disappears when you open the F3 debug screen, keeping your view clean. It reappears when you close F3. This prevents visual clutter while still giving you quick access to performance data during normal gameplay.
