Navigate Natural Ground Terrain and Identify Biome-Specific Floors
Reading the Ground Beneath Your Feet
Florest Mod changes ground textures based on biome type and landscape shape. Instead of uniform grass or dirt, you'll encounter varied surfaces that reflect the environment's character.
Ground Types by Biome
Forests & Woodlands:
- Moss-covered ground in old, shaded areas
- Thick grass and tall ferns in open patches
- Mud and wet soil near water sources
Swamps & Wetlands:
- Mud dominates the floor
- Pebbles and gravel near water edges
- Sparse vegetation
Plains & Open Lands:
- Colorful flowers spread in natural clusters
- Thick grass coverage
- Occasional pebbles
Tropical Areas:
- Varied ground with moss and vegetation
- Natural flower groupings
Pay attention to terrain elevation—the mod uses landscape shape to determine which ground type appears. Low, wet areas get mud; shaded forest floors get moss; open hilltops get grass and flowers. This creates visual variety and helps you navigate by recognizing terrain patterns.
