How to Spot and Collect Fallen Logs

Walk through forests, dark forests, and taiga biomes and look for:

• Horizontal log structures lying on the ground
• Tree stumps where trees have decayed
• Partially buried wood covered by moss, dirt, or vegetation

These are made from standard wood blocks—oak, dark oak, spruce, and birch depending on the biome. You can harvest them with any axe or by hand, just like normal logs. They don't require special tools.

Fallen logs are most common in older-looking forest areas with dense moss and vegetation. They're useful for gathering wood without cutting down living trees, and they add to the wilderness atmosphere. Explore thoroughly around tree bases and in shaded forest clearings to find the most fallen wood.
