Discover Boulders and Stone Features in Your World
Understanding Boulder Placement
Florest Mod scatters boulders made of stone, andesite, and mossy cobblestone throughout the landscape. These aren't randomly placed—they appear in clusters and follow natural terrain patterns, especially in forests, plains, and open biomes.
Locating and Using Boulders
Boulders appear as:
- Stone and andesite clusters in rocky areas and hillsides
- Mossy cobblestone formations in old forests and shaded regions
- Natural groupings that follow the landscape's contours
They're made entirely from vanilla blocks, so you can mine them with a pickaxe and use the materials for building or crafting. Boulders are most visible in:
- Forest edges near mountains
- Plains and meadows
- Areas with varied elevation
These features add visual interest and break up flat terrain. They're useful as building material sources and help create natural-looking structures. Look for them especially where forests transition to open land or near water sources, where erosion would naturally deposit stone.
