Create a Custom Configuration for Multiplayer Servers
Prepare Your Config File
Before joining or setting up a server, customize your local Flatter Entities config file. Decide which mobs and dimensions should be flattened based on your server's theme or gameplay style.
Set Appropriate Blacklists and Whitelists
If your server has custom dimensions or special mobs, blacklist those you want to keep 3D. For example, blacklist boss mobs or dimension-specific creatures to maintain their visual impact.
Share Configuration Guidelines
If you're running the server, document your config choices for players. Let them know which mobs are flattened and why—this helps manage expectations and prevents confusion.
Test Before Playing
Load into the server world and verify that your settings apply correctly. Check that important mobs and dimensions render as intended.
Note: Each player's client-side config is independent, so different players can have different flattening preferences on the same server.
