How to Record Your Gameplay with the Flashback Mod

Starting a Recording Session

Before you begin, decide what you want to capture. The Flashback Mod records your in-game session so you can play it back later or turn it into a cinematic. Open the Flashback controls (usually bound to a key you can check in your controls menu) and look for the recording option.

1. Press your Flashback keybind to open the recording interface.

2. Choose Start Recording to begin capturing your session.

3. Play normally — build, fight, explore, whatever you want on camera.

4. When finished, reopen the interface and select Stop Recording.

Managing Your Recordings

Once stopped, your session is saved as a replay file you can access from the playback menu. Give recordings clear names so you can find them later when editing cinematics. If you record long sessions, consider splitting them into shorter clips for easier editing.

Keep in mind that recording captures the world state around you, so avoid teleporting or changing dimensions mid-recording if you want smooth playback. Test a short recording first to confirm your keybinds and settings work before committing to a long session.
