How to Play Back a Recorded Session in Flashback

Loading a Replay

Playback lets you review what you recorded without redoing it live. Open the Flashback playback menu from your keybind or the mod's main interface.

1. Select the recording you want from the list of saved replays.

2. Choose Play to load it into the world.

3. Use the playback controls to pause, resume, or scrub through the timeline.

Navigating During Playback

While a replay is playing, you are free to move your camera around the recorded scene. This is the key difference from watching a normal video — you can fly around, look at different angles, and inspect details that the original player never saw.

Use the timeline scrubber to jump to specific moments. Slow down playback speed if you want to study a particular action frame by frame. When you find a moment worth keeping, note the timestamp so you can return to it during cinematic editing.

Playback is also useful for verifying that a recording captured everything correctly before you invest time in editing. If something is missing or glitched, re-record that segment rather than trying to fix it in post.
